Although Nicholas Alexander Chavez's scene was ultimately omitted from the final version of 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' reimagining, he remains optimistic about the possibility of participating in a sequel.
Reflections on the Film and Personal Experiences
Following the removal of his and Lola Tung's scenes by writer and director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, Chavez shared his thoughts and expressed openness to returning for upcoming installments.
"Jennifer is a close friend," Chavez told Us Weekly. "She’s genuinely a wonderful person, and Lola and I had a great experience working together. But, ultimately, that’s filmmaking."
He reflected on his personal experiences, saying, "All I really remember from that time are my adventures in Australia—hanging out with kangaroos, hot air balloon rides over the plains at sunrise, and cherry picking with my girlfriend. Those memories overshadow the scene for me."
When asked about his role in the cut scene, Chavez humorously responded, "That’s a secret left to others!"
