Breaking News: NNPCL Raises Petrol Prices to N955 Per Litre Amid Economic Challenges
In Abuja, fuel prices at NNPCL outlets, including locations along Kubwa Expressway and in Wuse, have increased from N890 to N955 per litre, representing a N65 rise. This adjustment reflects a nationwide policy by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to elevate the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, at their retail stations.
The price hike is not limited to Abuja; it has also been observed at NNPCL stations in Kogi and Nasarawa states. The recent increase follows a weekend surge by independent fuel vendors in the Federal Capital Territory, where prices ranged from N950 to N971 per litre. The escalation was largely driven by the Dangote Refinery's decision to raise its ex-depot price from N820 to N858 per litre, prompting broader adjustments across the market.
