NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Middle school students are getting a chance to take a look at the high school they want to attend at an event happening this weekend.
While high school can be daunting not only for students but for parents, New Orleans Public Schools (NOLA PS) has developed what they call the "Ignite High School" showcase. Joining us this morning, Superintendent Dr. Fataema Fulmore.
NOLAxNOLA works to jumpstart fall live music scene in New Orleans LBJ: Let's talk about that jump going from middle school or whatever. We're looking at next year going to a high school. This is designed to help our families get there.
Fulmore: Absolutely. We know how important the transition is to high school and so we are creating a fantastic opportunity for students and families to come and learn about all of our high schools, meet some of our partners, meet new friends, meet staff. I mean, it's a really cool event that we're doing now.
