Strawberry symposium to focus on research, AI and production
The 11th North American Strawberry Symposium (NASS) will bring strawberry growers, researchers and industry members to Orlando, Florida, Feb. 7-10, 2027, in conjunction with the annual North American Strawberry Growers Association (NASGA) conference.
The event at the DoubleTree by Hilton will include 2.5 days of workshops, research and marketing presentations, poster sessions, a reception and an award luncheon. A post-conference tour is scheduled for Feb. 10.
Presentation topics will include breeding, genetics, molecular biology, disease and pest management, propagation and nursery management, cultural practices, plant nutrition and water management, plant physiology, production economics, postharvest quality management and food safety.
The program will also address applied artificial intelligence, precision agriculture, automation and robotics. Workshops are planned on Neopestalotiopsis management, organic production, insects and mites, disease management, nematodes, automation and phenotyping, tabletop production and strawberry breeding.
