The North Hudson Community Action Corporation cut the ribbon of its new Weehawken Health Center, located at Tower Plaza at 4100 Park Ave., this afternoon.

The new location aims to expand access to convenient, community-based healthcare for Weehawken and the surrounding North Hudson community.
The ribbon cutting drew the attendance of local officials and remarks by NHCAC Board of Directors Chair Gio Ahmad and Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner.
“This is actually a perfect location: They’ll go to the Building Department for Weehawken and have a heart attack and then be able to go right over here to be treated,” Turner joked, noting the NHCAC facility’s new location next to the municipal offices of the Weehawken Building Department in Tower Plaza.
“If you go to Planet Fitness and happened to get injured, you can go right here. We have the police department down the other end, and they can call for the engine. So it’s the perfect set up.”
According to Turner, it’s “a great addition” to Tower Plaza where a clinic used to be before it “fell apart.”
