Northwest Colorado Health’s annual Rubber Ducky Race for Hospice returns Tuesday
Northwest Colorado Health’s annual Rubber Ducky Race for Hospice fundraising event returns Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. at the Old Town Hot Springs water slides in Steamboat Springs, states a recent news release.
Thousands of ducks will race down the slides, and owners of the winning ducks will win cash, among other prizes. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at the event.
The race supports the nonprofit’s hospice program, which provides end-of-life care for anyone in Routt County who needs it. It also comes almost a year after Northwest Colorado Health launched a $3 million, three-year home health and hospice campaign, which as of Aug. 10 was close to its first-year $1 million goal.
Northwest Colorado Health staff note that participants do not need to be present at the event to win. If your duck is a winner, you will receive a call following the race.
