NYC Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Celebrates Heroes with Concert by Chris Janson on September 28, 2025

Honoring Our Heroes: 24th Annual Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Scheduled for September 28, 2025 New York City, August 4, 2025 — The Tunnel to Towers Foundation will host its 24th annual 5K Run & Walk in NYC on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Country music sensation and Grand Ole Opry member Chris Janson will perform at the finish line concert following the race. Janson, an ACM Award winner known for five No. 1 singles—including the multi-platinum "Buy Me A Boat" and platinum hits "Fix A Drink" and "Good Vibes"—will bring his energetic performance to the event, which is set near One World Trade Center. The event commemorates the heroic efforts of first responders and fallen heroes, retracing FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller’s path through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to Ground Zero on 9/11. Participation is limited to 30,000 runners, walkers, veterans, service members, and first responders to ensure a meaningful experience. Participants will honor those lost on 9/11, including 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, civilians, and the over 7,000 service members who have died in the Global War on Terror.
