OAKLAND — Acts Full Gospel Church transformed from a place of worship into a lively neighborhood gathering on Tuesday evening to celebrate National Night Out.

Jackson highlighted the importance of showcasing Oakland's positive side. "Not everyone in Oakland is involved in crime or violence," he stated. "Come out, enjoy the sunshine and good company."
Jackson's Connection to Oakland
Approaching his 80th birthday, Jackson has spent his entire life in Oakland. Reflecting on the city’s past, he recalled, "Back in the 1940s and 50s, we didn’t even bother locking our doors. No one was stealing televisions or breaking in."
