As we approach October, the volleyball season continues to go strong as the Lady Eagles of Olpe played in a home tournament over the weekend. At the tournament, they faced Northern Heights, Bishop Seabury, Goessel, Madison, and Wabaunsee for a full day of action.
They opened the tournament against Bishop Seabury, and it wasn’t a strong start for the Lady Eagles. The first set went Bishop Seabury’s way as they started strong, taking the first set 25-14. The second set was more competitive, but Bishop Seabury was too much to overcome as they carried their momentum to a sweep of Olpe, with a second-set score of 25-18.
Looking to bounce back from the loss, Olpe faced off against Goessel. The issue was that it was a similar story to the Bishop Seabury match, where the Lady Eagles couldn’t find their footing in the series as Goessel rolled past them. The set scores were 25-13 and 25-12 in favor of Goessel.
