On Patrol: Live co-host rides along with BRPD officers

BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge is getting a national spotlight as On Patrol: Live co-host and analyst Sgt. Sean “Sticks” Larkin hit the streets alongside Baton Rouge Police officers.

Larkin, a retired Tulsa police lieutenant, has spent years giving viewers an inside look at police work across the country. This time, he’ll be experiencing Baton Rouge from the passenger seat of a patrol car.

The show’s arrival in Baton Rouge was months in the making. Last year, the East Baton Rouge Metro Council approved a contract allowing BRPD to partner with the production company behind On Patrol: Live, bringing the cameras and national audience to the department.

The partnership means viewers can now watch Baton Rouge officers respond to calls in real time — including BRPD Sgt. Jordan Lear, who has already been featured on the show.

“On Patrol: Live is exactly that. It is a live police show that is three hours every Friday and Saturday night," Larkin said. "The viewer can sit at home on the couch and basically do a ride-along."
