BEAVER BAY — One person was airlifted with injuries while another person is in custody after a stabbing, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened on Friday. The sheriff's office said they received a report at 12:41 p.m. of a disturbance and it was later learned that a person had been stabbed. A suspect is in custody, the sheriff's office said, while the victim was provided with medical care, but later airlifted to a hospital in Duluth. The sheriff's office also said the victim's current condition is not yet known.

The sheriff’s office hasn't released names, genders, ages or the location of the incident, but did say that there is no threat to the public. No other details are available at this time as the incident remains under investigation.
Assisting the Lake County Sheriff’s Office with the incident were the Minnesota State Patrol, Silver Bay Police Department, Silver Bay Fire Department, Lake County Ambulance Service, Lake County Rescue Squad, and Life Link III.
