DULUTH, Min. (KQDS-TV) - The harborside (or west side) pedestrian walkway of the Aerial Lift Bridge will be closed starting on October 19, 2026.
It will be closed to allow for repair work.
Barricades will now be in place.
Pedestrians can use the lakeside (or east side) walkway until the repairs are complete and barricades are removed.
Repairs are expected to occur intermittently throughout the fall season. The closure is expected to last for the "foreseeable future".
The remainder of Aerial Lift Bridge operations will continue.
