One person dead after train hits them in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - One person is dead after a train struck them near the intersection of South Park Road and Chesterfield Avenue in Charleston, according to the Charleston Police Department’s Public Information Officer.

Kanawha County dispatch says the Charleston Fire Department and Police Department responded. The Charleston Police Department’s Public Information Officer also tells WSAZ the person was pronounced dead on the scene.
