A weeklong crime suppression operation across San Bernardino County resulted in 11 felony arrests and the seizure of eight firearms, including three ghost guns, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Operation Consequences was conducted Aug. 24 through Aug. 30 in San Bernardino, Fontana, Montclair, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Hesperia and Colton.
Investigators with the Sheriff ’s Department's Gangs/Narcotics Division worked alongside patrol deputies and personnel from partnering agencies during the operation. Authorities served 14 search warrants and conducted investigations involving gang members and people prohibited from possessing firearms.
The San Bernardino Movement Against Street Hoodlums Street Enforcement Team also conducted proactive patrols in San Bernardino and surrounding areas as part of the effort.
The operation is part of a county-funded initiative aimed at increasing law enforcement services and addressing crime and quality-of-life concerns throughout San Bernardino County.
