The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has officially ended the mandated 'five things' communication process, a program started by Elon Musk where federal employees summarized their weekly activities in five bullet points. This move signals a step back from Musk's influence on federal administrative procedures, several months after his departure from the administration. Previously, Musk served as a senior adviser to the president and led the Department of Government Efficiency. He no longer holds any official role within the government. The responsibility for overseeing the 'five things' responses rested with OPM, but many agencies had already phased out the requirement. OPM Director Scott Kupor stated, 'We informed agency HR leaders that OPM would no longer manage or utilize the five things process internally.
