Orsted Reports Strong Revenue Growth in First Half of 2025
Orsted has announced a robust revenue of DKK 37.8 billion for the first half of 2025, marking an 11% increase compared to DKK 34.2 billion in the same period last year. This growth is primarily attributed to enhanced power generation, rising gas and electricity prices, and the expansion of renewable energy assets.
Offshore and Onshore Revenue Highlights
The offshore segment benefited from the gradual commissioning of Gode Wind 3, improved operational availability, compensation for grid connection delays, and increased income from contracts for difference (CfDs), renewable obligation certificates (ROCs), and green certificates. These gains were partly offset by lower wind speeds affecting output.
Onshore revenues experienced growth driven by new solar projects such as Sparta Solar, Mockingbird, and Eleven Mile. Additionally, the Bioenergy & Other division saw higher sales of gas linked to the Tyra field and better spreads. In Q2 2025, revenues reached DKK 17.1 billion, a 14% year-on-year rise, supported by higher power prices and offshore earnings despite less favorable wind conditions.
