Since its establishment in 2007, South African-based Greenhouse Technologies (GHTech) has developed from its first warehouse at City Deep's Multi-Flora Market into a national supplier with five warehouses across South Africa. The company serves commercial horticulture and agriculture with greenhouse infrastructure, growing media, irrigation, plastics, nursery supplies and technical solutions.
Quality-controlled growing media
Growing media is a key part of GHTech's product portfolio. The company directly imports peat moss from Klasmann-Deilmann and says the products are certified and independently tested before reaching its facilities. Peat moss is tested in Lithuania, while coir coco peat is imported from India with testing conducted at container level.
GHTech describes its approach to substrates as focused on consistency and technical performance rather than lowest cost. "Our substrates may not be the cheapest, but definitely the best quality," the team states, highlighting the uniformity and consistency of Klasmann-Deilmann products.
