Despite having only six years of legislative experience, Spencer Igo has become a senior, mentoring member of an Iron Range delegation in need of the influence and experience.
“I never would have imagined I’d have had the opportunity to serve with (Sens.) Tom Bakk and David Tomassoni, and now Tomassoni has passed away and Tom Bakk is retired. … I feel it’s a duty now (for me) to shepherd that into new legislators, to keep that aura of statesmanship alive that the Range delegation and northern-Minnesota legislators are known for,” Rep. Igo said in an interview with members of the News Tribune Editorial Board. “That’s how we’ve always passed bills up here and advodcated for our region and always made sure that northern Minnesota is on the map. (It’s how we) get things done.”

On Election Day Nov. 3, eligible voters in Minnesota’s House District 7A, from Hibbing and Nashwauk in its north to Tamarack and Palisade in its south, can continue Igo’s bipartisan and effective ability to get things done. They can elect him for a fourth term.
