The Green Bay Packers have re-signed cornerback Corey Ballentine to their roster, announcing the move on August 4, 2025. In a corresponding transaction, the team released cornerback Gregory Junior. This marks Ballentine's second tenure with the Packers.
The 28-year-old player was originally drafted in the sixth round by the New York Giants in 2019. After being waived by the Giants in 2020, he was claimed by the New York Jets, then later waived and picked up by the Detroit Lions, where he spent time on their practice squad. Ballentine signed a futures contract with the Atlanta Falcons but was among the final cuts. He also had a brief stint on the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad before joining the Packers' active roster at the beginning of 2022. The Packers extended his contract for one year last offseason.
Ballentine signed with the Indianapolis Colts for the 2024 season but was released during training camp. During the 2024 NFL season, he appeared in 15 games for Green Bay, recording six tackles and one forced fumble.
