Education is likely not done at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus in Luzerne County , just under different school colors.
On Friday, Penn State's board of trustees approved plans to sell the 57-acre parcel near Dallas for $5,250,000 to HGC Development LLC, a branch of the Huntsville Golf Club, which plans to partner with Misericordia University to expand its programs.
"We're very happy to have this opportunity develop so close to us. It's just over the hill here, and so we think it's going to be a great addition to our operation here," said Misericordia University President Daniel Myers, Ph.D.

"It's starting to put pressure on our current, physical campus. And so we started looking for other opportunities where we could expand and do some more programming and this opportunity arose and it seemed like it was a match made in heaven."
