At St. Luke’s Episcopal School, educators believe that preparing children for the future doesn’t mean making them grow up too quickly.
“Children need time to explore, create, ask questions and develop confidence. “We want our students to be exceptionally well prepared for what's next, but we don't believe they have to rush through childhood to get there,” said Head of School Mitch Bilbe.
That philosophy shapes an environment that pairs academic rigor with close relationships and personalized attention. Bilbe said one key advantage of St. Luke’s Episcopal is that the staff knows each student well enough to recognize when they need additional support or to inspire their students to excel.
"Being a small school isn't the goal. The advantage is that small allows us to truly know our students and recognize what each child needs to grow,” Bilbe said. “The feedback we always hear is that our nurturing culture is palpable on campus. We work hard to make sure every child knows that we know them.”
