Phoenix Police Arrest Two Suspects in Pregnant Teen Zariah Dodd's Murder

Arrests Made in the Murder of Pregnant Teen Zariah Dodd PHOENIX — Authorities have apprehended two individuals in connection with the death of 16-year-old Zariah Dodd, whose body was found in a Phoenix park. The Phoenix Police Department identified 36-year-old Jurrell Davis and 18-year-old Jechri James-Gillett as the suspects. According to Sergeant Rob Scherer, investigations revealed that Davis was the father of Zariah's unborn child and that both suspects conspired to commit the homicide. Both suspects are now in custody and face murder charges; Davis is additionally accused of sexual misconduct involving a minor. The case unfolded after Dodd left a group home near Cactus and Litchfield Roads on the evening of July 4, claiming she was going for a walk. She was reported missing shortly after midnight, and her body was later discovered in a Phoenix park the following morning.
