Police identify driver killed in serious crash on Harkney Hill Road in Coventry

(WJAR) — The Coventry Police Department has identified the 21-year-old man who died following a collision early this week.

On Tuesday, police responded to what was described as a “nearly head-on collision” on Harkney Hill Road near Camp Westwood Road.

The vehicles only had the drivers as occupants, police said.

The driver of one vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Liam Stahlbush of Sterling, Connecticut.

Police say Stahlbush was seriously injured and taken to Kent County Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

The other driver was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with minor injuries.

At the moment, police say that driver is not facing charges.

The crash remains under investigation.
