People may turn in unused or expired prescription medication at several locations throughout Kanawha County this weekend as part of the national U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency’s fall National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
"It gives people a chance to get old prescriptions out of their house," Sgt. Jeremy Burns with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office said. "Which keeps harmful narcotics out of the hands of people who might want to steal those drugs from them, and also helps protect children from getting their hands on possible bad narcotics in your cupboards or your cabinets."
