Doha: Qatar has reaffirmed its position as a top-tier nation in mobile internet performance worldwide, according to the latest data from Ookla's Speedtest Global Index.
This index evaluates countries based on median mobile and fixed broadband speeds, collecting millions of user-initiated tests globally. Recent findings place Qatar second globally in mobile internet speed rankings, highlighting its advanced telecommunications infrastructure and strategic investments in 5G technology. This achievement aligns with Qatar's vision to become a digital innovation hub as part of its Qatar National Vision 2030.
The report indicates Qatar's median download speed is 517.44 Mbps, with an upload speed of 32.95 Mbps, and an average latency of 18 milliseconds.
