RAIDERS GEARING UP FOR THE FINAL STRETCH

CANFIELD, OH — South Range had this one circled. After falling to Canton Central Catholic last season, the Raiders got their payback in a big way, rolling to a straight-set sweep, 25-10, 25-16, 25-17.

South Range grabbed control early and never gave it back. The Raiders came out swinging, dominated the opening set, and kept their foot on the gas the rest of the night.

Anna Toy hammered down 16 kills to lead the attack while adding 11 digs and two aces for a double-double. Lily Weaver gave the Raiders another weapon at the net with 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks.

The offense had plenty of good looks thanks to Parker Zwingler and Natalie Burnett. Zwingler dished out 17 assists, while Burnett added 13 helpers and kept Canton Central Catholic scrambling from the service line with five aces.

The sweep keeps the Raiders perfect at 19-0 overall and 10-0 in the NE8. Next up is a big one at home. South Range welcomes Hubbard on Tuesday for Senior Night as the Raiders look to keep the unbeaten train rolling.
