A residential fire erupted in Spokane Valley this afternoon, prompting an immediate and effective response from local firefighters. The blaze occurred on the 15800 block of East Valleyway Avenue and was reported around 2:30 p.m. According to Spokane Valley Fire Department spokesperson Travis Patterson, the flames were extinguished within 12 minutes.
Despite significant smoke emanating from the residence, it remains unclear whether anyone was present at the time the fire started. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, and neighboring structures were not at risk.
