I have been fortunate to know Rebecca King as my neighbor for many years, and over that time I have come to know her as an intelligent, thoughtful person who cares deeply about Coronado and the people who call it home.
What has always stood out to me about Rebecca is her integrity and her go-getter attitude. She is someone who looks at a problem and immediately begins finding solutions. She is someone who does her homework, asks thoughtful questions, and does not shy away from difficult or complicated issues. When Rebecca commits herself to something, she brings energy, preparation, and determination to the task.
Her background also gives her an interesting perspective on the challenges facing our community. As a longtime military spouse, she understands firsthand the important relationship between Coronado and our military families. Her experience as a former city attorney gives her knowledge of local government, municipal issues, and the importance of transparency within the community.
Rebecca has also spent time serving and volunteering in Coronado, which has given her an opportunity to listen to residents and better understand the concerns of our community.
