Wayne County Republicans to host chamber coffee
WAYNE — The Republican Party of Wayne County will host the Wayne Chamber Coffee on Friday, Oct. 23, at Elkhorn Valley Bank in Wayne.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. in the bank’s conference room and is open to the public. Attendees are asked to enter through the south entrance on Sixth Street because the bank will remain open for regular business.
Refreshments will be served during the event.
Wayne County Republican Party officers are chairman Brent Pick, vice chair Lynn Junck and secretary-treasurer Beverly Neel.
VFW auxiliary meeting
The auxiliary to VFW Post 1644 met Tuesday. The charter was draped for five members and one past department president. Money was donated for scholarships to Gracefully and to the Ladies Department VFW. American flags were purchased for the upcoming Veterans Day in November. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 5 p.m.
