Remains of ‘Bridge Lady’ identified

ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – A woman who was simply known as the ‘Bridge Lady’ for years in Rowan County has been identified.
Her body was found in December 2018 under a bridge on State Route 32.
The Morehead Police Department and Rowan County Coroner’s Office say her name is Floy Denise Long.
Authorities say the investigation resumed thanks to a new lead from a family member, resulting in a fingerprint match.
Locals in the area say long used to take shelter under bridges and was always smiling.
The authorities say this brings closure to a case nearly eight years in the making.
