Rep. Chris Todd highlights $336.7 million tourism impact in Madison County

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WBBJ) - State Representative Chris Todd, R-Madison County, pointed to new figures showing the strength of tourism’s economic footprint in Madison County, where visitor spending reached $336.7 million in 2025.

That spending generated $13.6 million in local tax revenue and supported 2,858 jobs throughout the county last year, according to data released by Tourism Economics and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development (TDTD). The figures placed Madison County 13th among Tennessee’s 95 counties for total visitor spending.

“It’s no surprise that Madison County continues to rank among Tennessee’s top destinations for visitors,” Todd said. “Our historic communities, incredible outdoor heritage and unique attractions give tourists plenty of reasons to spend time and money here. This spending puts millions of dollars back into our economy, supporting jobs and generating revenue that makes life better for the families who call this county home.”
