Rey Fenix Retains AAA Cruiserweight Championship On WWE Smackdown

Rey Fenix remains your AAA World Cruiserweight Champion, retaining the title against Ricky Saints on this week’s episode of WWE Smackdown. Friday night’s show saw Fenix put his championship on the line against Saints in a match that went nine and a half minutes.

Saints and Fenix traded a bit of early offense as they felt each other out before Saints used lowdown tactics, pulling the champion’s mask to gain the advantage. Fenix was able to battle back after hitting a top rope hurricanrana and while Saints came back with a few high impact moves, the match ultimately went to Fenix thanks to a Mexican Muscle Buster.

Rey Fenix’s AAA World Cruiserweight Championship reign now stands at 105 days. He won the title from Laredo Kid at AAA Noche de Los Grandes.
