1 hours ago A driver was arrested after pointing a gun at another motorist in a fit of road rage Thursday afternoon, Carver County officials say.
The Carver County Sheriff’s Office reports that it received a weapons complaint near the intersection of Lyman Boulevard and Audubon Road in Chanhassen at around 3:40 p.m.
At the scene, a deputy met with a driver who reported the alleged gun-pointing incident. The driver said two kids were in the car with them at the time.
The driver alleged that the driver of a Ford F150 had tailgated them as they traveled north on Audubon Road. The F150 driver also reportedly gave them the middle finger.
The driver of the F150 allegedly began to travel alongside their vehicle on Lyman Boulevard, at one point flashing a handgun before pointing it out the window in the direction of the driver and two kids.
The reporting driver noted the suspect’s license plate number. Carver County deputies responded to the driver’s home and placed him under arrest upon his return. A firearm was also recovered during the arrest, according to the sheriff’s office.
