Celebrating 150 Years of Roberts, Wisconsin
The town of Roberts, Wisconsin, marks a historic milestone as it commemorates its 150th anniversary. The community's origins trace back to approximately 1855 when pioneers George Longworth and his family settled in the Roberts/Warren region. By 1860, the growing population petitioned the county to establish a separate township, officially forming the Town of Warren.
Today, Roberts hosts a grand Sesquicentennial Celebration from October 3rd to 5th, organized by the Community of Good Neighbors. The festivities will feature live music, food vendors, historical exhibitions, and wagon rides, attracting residents and visitors alike.
Initially, the population centered around the area now known as the westernmost intersection of US Highway 12 and WIS 65, known as Warren Center. This area comprised a store, meeting hall, blacksmith shop, school, and several residences.
