However, the narrative has shifted, with educational institutions promoting the idea that every student must attend college, a notion that doesn't align with the realities of many young people. In rural areas, where access to colleges can be limited and economic factors differ, many students opt for vocational training and trades instead. For instance, Briar Townes, a high school student from Wyoming County, has cultivated artistic talents and plans to pursue a career outside of college. Despite earning college credits, he sees a different path for himself.
