SALEM — Salem Alliance for the Environment has secured a $50,000 grant to help engage residents in monitoring air quality around the city.
Over the summer, SAFE installed 10 air quality monitors with the North Shore Community Development Coalition, while the city installed five, supported by funding from the state Department of Environmental Protection. The new funding comes from the Metropolitan Area Planning Council.
