Many rumors have previously highlighted how Samsung Display will be the sole supplier of foldable OLED panels for Apple's first foldable phone. It's finally here, and it's called the iPhone Duo.
A new rumor claims that Samsung is likely pocketing a decent amount on every iPhone Duo, with Apple paying it as much as $250 for every single OLED panel.
The rumor emerges from China and while the leakster in question has a track record, there's no official confirmation of this figure from either Samsung or Apple, and it's unlikely there ever will be.
It's claimed that Samsung Display has signed a three-year agreement with Apple to provide foldable OLED panels for the iPhone Duo and future models. The company is said to be charging $250 per panel.
This means that if Apple ships the 5 million iPhone Duo units it's expected to before the end of this year, it could pocket $1.2 billion in display panel shipments for Apple's first foldable phone.
