NEW YORK (VINnews) — Satmar community activist Moishe Indig sparked a social media firestorm Thursday after publicly rebuking Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defending New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Indig responded to Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations, where the Israeli prime minister sharply criticized Mamdani and said that many Jewish New Yorkers no longer feel safe in the city.
“Mr. Netanyahu, you do not speak for New York’s Jewish community,” Indig wrote on X.
