Event Details
The Wisconsin Farmers Union (WFU) Sauk and Columbia County Chapters are hosting their yearly gathering on Saturday, September 6, at the Aldo Leopold Foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The event offers a blend of community engagement and environmental stewardship, beginning with a women-only prairie seed collection from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m., in partnership with Wisconsin Women in Conservation.
Morning Activities
Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on conservation activity, fostering connections with the land and fellow women conservationists. Following this, the chapters' annual meetings will commence at 11:30 a.m., featuring a catered lunch from The Relish Tray Bistro with locally sourced meats and produce. Attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Afternoon Tour
The afternoon includes a guided tour of the historic Aldo Leopold Shack, led by staff from the foundation. This tour provides insights into Leopold’s enduring legacy and his influential land ethic.
