Authorities continue their search for Michael Paul Brown, a former soldier suspected of fatally shooting four individuals at a bar in Montana late last week. Brown, 45, fled the scene of the incident at The Owl Bar in Anaconda after allegedly opening fire with a rifle believed to be his personal firearm.
Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen issued a public safety alert on Sunday, urging local residents to stay alert as the suspect might return. Brown was known to live adjacent to the crime scene. "This individual is unstable and committed this heinous act without provocation," Knudsen stated, highlighting the concern for community safety.
The victims, aged between 59 and 74, include a female bartender and three male patrons, identified as Nancy Lauretta Kelley (64), Daniel Edwin Baillie (59), David Allen Leach (70), and Tony Wayne Palm (74). Knudsen added that Brown's close proximity to the victims and potential acquaintanceship with them may have played a role in the tragedy.
