NORFOLK, VA – The Charlotte Knights capped off their 2026 season on Sunday afternoon with a 7-4 victory over the Norfolk Tides. The win clinched a series split and cemented the Knights’ 2026 overall record at 81-68, the fourth best mark out of 20 teams in the International League.
Charlotte went to work early in the contest and erased 1-0 deficit on Riley Unroe’s two-run Home Run over the right field wall. The blast was Unroe’s 12th in 45 games played with the Knights.
Junior Perez connected with a two-run blast of his own in the top of the fourth inning. A few batters later, Korey Lee clubbed his 17th homer of the season and put the Knights on top 6-1. Dru Baker drove in Charlotte’s final run of the season with a sacrifice fly in the sixth.
Tanner McDougal led the pitching effort with a three-inning spot start. Jaden Woods, Mathias LaCombe, Peyton Pallette, and Garrett Schoenle all saw work out of the bullpen. Woods earned the win and Schoenle picked up the save.
