The Hillsboro-Central Valley girls golf team hit the links earlier this week in Forman as its regular season nears a finish.
It was a favorable day for the Burros as Emily Cote and Siri Williams both shot some of their best scores of the year.
“It was a good day today,” said head coach Dustin Cote. “It was a little windy. The course down there was in really good shape, a really nice course.”
Cote shot a 28-over 100, two shots away from her personal record. The freshman found her groove after the first four holes, shooting 45 over her second nine.
Williams shot a personal-best 36-over 108 on Wednesday. The senior had five bogeys within nine holes during her back nine.
“They’ve progressed quite a bit from last season to this season,” Cote said of his two varsity golfers.
