Shadowfax shares: Kotak initiates with Add, sees 10% upside

Kotak Institutional Equities has initiated coverage on Shadowfax with an Add and a target price of Rs 310, implying about 10% upside from the last close of Rs 282.80 — the most cautious of four initiations published on Tuesday.

The position in the market

Shadowfax is the second-largest player in India's largely duopolistic third-party e-commerce logistics market. Kotak expects it to outgrow the broader 3PL industry by 1.4 times over FY2026–30, supported by strong exposure to Meesho and the ability to gain share across relatively underpenetrated segments.

A duopoly is usually a favourable structure — two players, limited price war, pricing power over customers. That is the positive half.
