A little more than a year after announcing a new location in the Geist area, Slick City Indianapolis opened its doors Sept. 1 at its 55,000-square-foot building on Fox Road.
Renovations at the former Marsh grocery store, 11625 Fox Rd., started in early 2025. About a week after opening and as new employees trained, co-owner Eddie Wilson took a break from cleaning floors to talk about the business.
Wilson said he was interested in an action park franchise, specifically, because it’s all about having fun.
“I look at this as selling joy,” he said. “I mean, all the kids coming here are smiling, laughing, and you can’t have a bad day here.”
Wilson said the renovation work was more involved than he’d anticipated. Now that it’s complete, though, the indoor park has an arcade, air courts and 16 slides.
“The Mega Launch is the most popular,” he said of the large slides. “The yellow ones here — (kids) fly through the air. They love it.”
The air courts, where participants can play basketball and dodgeball, have springy, inflated floors that allow players to bounce much higher than usual during games. Wilson said the courts are packed with players, who get worn out quickly — something parents a...
