Despite these challenges, recent surveys reveal a growing sentiment among South Dakota residents—who are increasingly disillusioned with both major parties—that change is possible.
Supporters have noted that once voters learn about my background and values, the race shifts in our favor. Even considering President Trump’s projected 30-point lead in the state and incumbent Senator Mike Rounds’ advantages, current polls show promising signs of success. Rounds currently has a low approval rating, with only 35% of residents approving of his performance, while 44% disapprove. In a head-to-head matchup, I trail by only 13 points, compared to nearly 20 points for a Democrat against Rounds.
