SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — A crash investigation shut down the on-ramp to Highway 395 near Wandermere for several hours Tuesday afternoon before it reopened later that night. According to an updated report from the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the domestic violence incident that caused a three-car collision on the on-ramp to U.S. 395, two miles north of the Spokane city limits, resulted in the death of one individual by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
WSP officials reported that a Chevy Silverado pickup, a Ram pickup and a Chevy Traverse were traveling north along the Wandermere on-ramp from Division Street to northbound U.S. 395, as a domestic violence incident was taking place in the Silverado.
Aaron Moyle said he was driving north on Highway 395 when he noticed several cars gathered on the right side near the merge from the Wandermere on-ramp.
As he got closer, Moyle said he saw a person lying between two lanes. He said he pulled over on the bridge to find out what was happening.
