Stenner Signs Professional Contract with Akademisk Boldklub

GLADSAXE MUNICIPALITY, Denmark – University of Delaware men's soccer forward Marius Stenner has signed his first professional contract with Akademisk Boldklub (AB) in his home country of Denmark, the club announced Monday. AB is a Danish professional football club from Gladsaxe, currently playing in the second tier of Danish domestic football in the Danish 1st Division. The contract is a three-year deal through June 2029.
Stenner is the first Fightin' Blue Hen to go pro under current Fightin' Blue Hens' head coach Tommy McMenemy.
"This is a dream come true for me," Stenner said. "It's been something I've been working on for the past 18 years and now it's time to go play pro. Representing Delaware has meant a lot to me. I didn't know what I was getting into flying across the Atlantic, but as soon as you're part of the community, you know what it means to people.
