Suspended Baker High student tased while trying to get onto campus

BAKER - A suspended Baker High School student was tased by school resource officers after he tried to get onto campus Thursday, school leadership said.

President and CEO of Helix Community Schools Preston Castille said that the student, who had previously been suspended, arrived on campus, refused to leave and on-campus security officers from the Baker Police Department got involved. Castille said the student was resisting and was tased by police.

WBRZ has reached out to the Baker Police Department, which has not returned our calls about the student's detainment status.
