Teen Wanted in Fatal 2026 Mount Pleasant Shooting Arrested in Chicago

A 17-year-old Racine teen wanted in a fatal Mount Pleasant shooting was arrested in Chicago and is awaiting extradition to Wisconsin.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. — A 17-year-old wanted since July in a fatal Mount Pleasant shooting has been taken into custody in Chicago and is awaiting extradition to Wisconsin, police said Tuesday.

Ronald Rallo Franklin, of Racine, faces charges of Attempted Armed Robbery and Felony Murder in the June 24 shooting death of an 18-year-old Kenosha man in the 2200 block of Racine Street, according to Mount Pleasant Police Capt. Eric Relich.

Members of the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, led by the U.S. Marshals Service, located Franklin in Chicago on Sept. 14 and took him into custody “without incident,” police said. He is being held at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center pending extradition to Wisconsin.
