O2 Activates Five 4G and 5G Small Cells in Tonbridge
O2 has activated five outdoor small cells in Tonbridge town centre as part of an investment to increase mobile network capacity and improve connectivity for customers. The new infrastructure supports both 4G and 5G services and was deployed by Freshwave on behalf of O2 in collaboration with Kent County Council. The small cells are designed to provide additional capacity in busy areas used by residents, businesses and visitors. The deployment was welcomed by Tom Tugendhat MP, who highlighted the importance of improved connectivity for the local community. The project forms part of O2’s broader network investment, using small-cell infrastructure to strengthen mobile coverage and capacity in urban locations.
